Is TBS a good fit for my family?

Tacoma Baptist Schools is unique among private Christian Schools in the South Sound area in that we are a discipleship Christian school.

What does that mean? It means that our mission is to come alongside parents who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and are training their own children to have a personal relationship with Jesus--to love, serve, and worship Him together in their home and in their local, evangelical Christian church. As a discipleship Christian school, TBS requires that at least one parent or guardian professes faith in Christ and is in regular attendance of a Bible-believing, evangelical Christian church whose core doctrinal statement is in alignment with TBS.

As a discipleship Christian school, TBS seeks to develop DiscipleLeaders who serve a broad community of Christ followers and, therefore, maintains a student body from many different evangelical churches. TBS admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available to TBS students. TBS does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, national or ethnic origin in its admission policy, scholarship, and other school-administered programs. As a religious, private institution, however, it does screen students on the basis of academic deportment and compatibility with the school's religious goals, purpose, and philosophy.
